Ken Navitsky was born in Sarasota, Florida, and earned a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1996. He has been a resident of Rochester, Minnesota since 1997. Ken is a husband, and father, and has lived in Rochester for 27 years.
Professionally, Ken has worked as a sales executive and has also been a motorsports announcer. Additionally, he started soccer programs at area high schools and coached football at Rochester Community Technical College.
Ken's political career includes running for the legislature as a Republican in the last two election cycles. In 2022, he ran for Minnesota Senate and in 2024, he ran for the Minnesota House.
During his most recent campaign, Ken offered solutions to statewide issues including the economy, crime, agriculture, and the environment. As a small business owner, he advocated for reducing red tape. He criticized state spending and tax policies, stating that legislators will tap an "endless supply of your money" from taxpayers. Ken believes the middle class is dying and criticized policies that place an undue burden on working families. He opposed the proposed Equal Rights Amendment, calling it a "wolf in sheep’s clothing". Ken feels that we need to bring back common sense to local and state politics. He wants to lower taxes, make our streets safe, and improve education standards.
Ken describes himself as a patriot, Christian Conservative, and Constitutionalist. He owned several businesses, served the City of Rochester as a Zoning and Planning Commissioner, and is a former RCTC Football Coach.
Both Ted and Dan served with Ken as vice-chair of the Olmsted County Republican Party in 2023-2024. He is a committed conservative who takes on whatever comes his way. He is a charismatic leader and his enthusiasm is contagious. Ken can help people holding different views come together.
